Good Bye ’16

01. January 2017 Personal 0

Over the past three years, starting the new year with a new blog post has become a custom for me. I remember welcoming 2016 sitting at a restaurant at Varkala Cliff with one of my friend, gazing at the beach bewildered, thinking about what was about to come. The year started on a low note just like the previous years, with the struggles of the startup life. Well in life we all are fighting battles that only we know, aren’t we?

Calling 2016 a rollercoaster would be an understatement. Half the year I was excited about moving to another country and the other half struggling to get over the culture shock. And what I lost in between was a part of myself. I blogged less, I read less and I clicked less. So what I promise myself for 2017 is to blog more, read more and click more.

2016 was a turning point both professionally and personally. After almost three years of startup life I was again back in University, enrolled as a graduate student. And starting your life all over again from scratch in another country is not that easy. But that’s something that everyone should experience at least once in life. It pushes you way out of your comfort zone and it makes you realize the golden rule of existence, the survival of the fittest.

I also have my blog moved to a premium domain after 3 years of blogging with wordpress free service( ) and I started a technical blog( ) as I began my graduate student journey.

I hope 2017 will be full of opportunities, fun and life for everyone! Happy New Year.
